Goodbye Munich (Part 1), 19-21st October 2012.

A photographic series made in Schlosspark, Munich in collaboration with the photographer Danny Burrows.

I was walking with my son in the woods of Schlosspark early one bright autumnal evening and we were exploring the undergrowth, collecting twigs, sticks and leaves, and tapping the trunks of trees with our sticks and stroking the moss that grew on them.

I laid my hand on the trunk of a tree and as I let it rest there I felt powerfully a strong sense of energy and of connection that seemed to run between myself and the tree and downwards through the tree into the ground travelling outwards through the earth in all directions to encompass the whole of the wood.
